branches hewn and lies strewn
as the tempest subsides
steam rises from cooked pavement
an echoed chorus of thunderous percussion rolls away
lightning ceases to blink its weary eyes
deep euphony regained
life refreshed
doubt admonished
shining revelation ushered
love reigns
without shame
despite hurt and pain
because it dared to rain

What a wonderful poem to recite out loud! The meter in each line makes for a pulsing piece, almost like a storm! The transition from storm to serenity is well paced. You let the tension dissipate while ushering in renewal. Lovely read. Thank you.
