nuisance

a weed to this world

they try to pull me out

poison me

crowd me out

my roots cling

fed by a deep wellspring

one that means everything

as i quietly and desperately shout

A weed to this world

You know the very first flower I took notice of when I was six, was bindweed with lovely white trumpet heads. It’s a weed my Grandad said, but I loved it. That’s where I travelled Pete and that little journey made me smile.

my whole back yard is all weeds! Yet they are colorful and need no attention...clover and dandelions just like a Renoir painting...I look out everyday and enjoy my weeds!! Except when yardmen come and mow them down, such a pity!

... a renoir painting - cute, i like that. they do get a bad rap. i actually picked some (yellow and violet) and put them in a vase with water. everything serves a purpose. there's nothing new under the scene but we must open our eyes. thanks for the share b.
