Refined, Entwined And Redefined

i'm in pain
so let me lean 'pon your candy cane
erase my heart's stain
wipe away this booger
replace it with your pure, cane sugar
boo hoo
someone help me
don't tell me to shoo
my heart's gone askew
i'm feeling a new shade of blue
a brand new, diabetic hue
help me, please give me a clue
place me first in your queue

i can't count beyond two
i can't wait for the other dropped shoe
i'm kneeling in your stained glass pew
i can't lie, so it must be true
oh how i need your superglue
i've got a fever but it's not from the flu
quickly, someone tell me what to do
this i know and this i always knew
side to side and through and through
not instead but in lieu
a million granules and a whole slew
stir me up a confectionary stew
you're the only one who turns my screw
sugar, syrup, honey, candy, molasses and desserts have nothing on you

Pete
"If the day and the night are such that you greet them with joy, and life emits a fragrance like flowers and sweet-scented herbs, is more elastic, more starry, more immortal—that is your success." - Thoreau
