Prelude to EternityA Poem by PeteAs if you could kill time without injuring eternity. - Thoreaustanding 'pon a steep, muddy bank hands and soul acquiver a misguided almsgiver i tossed a black orchid into the brown river it had no choice but to go with the murky flow but wouldn't you just know it got hung up on a fallen tree leaning over a stubborn, unwilling rock so i took the sad moment of my life to take stock my faith and these obstacles doing their best to stand the test of time seemingly amounting to a hill of beans the tree a mere sliver until the powers that be and the spirted breath of life will to deliver putting an end to the whole stubborn, misguided prank © 2025 PeteAuthor's Note
