Break On Through to The Other Side

Break On Through to The Other Side

A Poem by Pete

Jim Morrison Pointing Art Print by Snap ...

think of all the shades of gray
think of a summer, porch swing's pleasant sway
think about the times you pray
think about walking by the bay
think about the ocean's spray
think about an a*s's bray
think about a roll in the hay
think about the things you say
think about a different day
think about the games you play

think about riding in a sleigh
think about all the times when things weren't okay
think about the right of way
think about a twirling, magical ballet
think about your cracked, blocked driveway
think about tonight's entree
think about a thick, steak fillet
think about an endless buffet
think about how much you weigh
think about spraying a bald head with hair spray

think about yelling, "hooray"
think about sipping a latte in a french café
think about what you'd make out of a lump of clay
think about running away
think about a causeway in bombay
think about d-day
think about a green beret
think about a sun's ray
think about blooming flowers in the month of may
think about a blue jay

think about living on the fray
don't do as i do but rather do as i say
think of all the times, to yourself, you lied
bushy tailed and bright eyed
think about a rich field of clover
think about when the music's over
think about a sleeping dog
think about a peace frog
think of all the times you tried
to break on through to the other side
