Making Flippy Floppy

Making Flippy Floppy

A Poem by Pete
"

I would rather sit on a pumpkin, and have it all to myself, than be crowded on a velvet cushion. - Thoreau

"
A group of mannequins standing next to ...

pawn's in a twisted charade
mannequins marching in a silent parade
neutered and spayed
trying to get laid
trying to get paid
thinking they have it made
framed and hung, upright, exactly as portrayed

a smudged, carbon copy
sprayed, mute words choppy
bald, plastic hair sloppy
lined up like cereal from kellog's corn poppy
wearing corsages from an opium poppy
being pulled by an old jalopy
making flippy floppy

"If a man does not keep pace with his companions, perhaps it is because he hears a different drummer. Let him step to the music which he hears, however measured or far away" - Thoreau
