By Each, Any, Every And All Means

By Each, Any, Every And All Means

A Poem by Pete
"

Ah dear nature - the mere remembrance, after a short forgetfulness, of the pine woods! I come to it as a hungry man to a crust of bread. - Thoreau

"

i love to go deep into the woods
deep, where the white noise screams
where the trees hold up the sky like support beams
where the sun flashes its high beams
where i can hear the giddy chortle as i drink from licorice streams
where ferns and honeysuckle burst at the seams
where the hills roll like caramel creams
where birds perch themselves on the day's balance beams
where tomorrow dreams

i long to be where the sweet density sings
where the trees whisper to me the number of their growth rings
where no one has ever been or touched anything
where everything is as real, true and innocent as it seems
where nothing lies and everything says exactly what it means
where my out-of-body experiences take me to ever new, unending extremes
where life breathes and esteems
where humility, grandeur, glory and eternity take their blessed time
where my soul absorbs, grows and gleans
by each, any, every and all means

"I left the woods for as good a reason as I went there. Perhaps it seemed to me that I had several more lives to live, and could not spare any more time for that one." - Thoreau

Such vivid images Pete, I want to go too! You really dug deep into your soul and how it connects so well with mother nature; out of body experience, wow! I though you could only do that with pot! "Where no one has ever been or touched"...(you might have to leave this earth for that!) "where tomorrow dreams".....
Very subconscious....in a way...love it!!!

There really is something to be said about spending time out in the forest or with the trees. The peace. The calm. How the days spent in nature tend to flow in a magical type of way. The language used really helped paint some nice imagery in my mind eye. Thanks for sharing your work :)
