Social 'Insecurity'

Social 'Insecurity'

A Poem by Pete
"

Above all, we cannot afford not to live in the present. - Thoreau

"
The Social Security Trust Fund Myth ...

overlooked by obscurity
a veiled enigma
a pontificating, paradoxical, pissant, ponzi scheme
a pie-in-the-sky nightmare of a dream
a diabolical formula of frustration
a pig-farming, promissory, pollyanna of a polyp
steeped in financial immaturity

a riddle of insolvent, wishful surety
a gastric, gall stone, game show of let's make a deal
custom tailored with an off-the-rack feel
a four-flushing, double-dealing douchebag
a botched b**b job with botox
an animal of pronounced durity
a cheating s**t of advertised purity
this thing called social 'insecurity'

"Again and again I congratulate myself on my so-called poverty. I was almost disappointed yesterday to find thirty dollars in my desk which I did not know that I possessed, though now I should be sorry to lose it." - Thoreau
