Ungrounded

Ungrounded

A Poem by Pete
"

pink rose old fading old with a few ...

you were always afraid to cut the cord
i see you in the window, peering out from behind the curtains
counting the years you have left by plucking off flower petals
overly careful to avoid the thorns
afraid to don an eternal truth that mocks and scorns
unable to live up to, let alone sign, your own accord
