Different Seasons for The Same Reasons

Different Seasons for The Same Reasons

A Poem by Pete
"

A healthy man, indeed, is the complement of the seasons, and in winter, summer is in his heart. - Thoreau

"
Similarities of Summer and Winter

there's snow in my eyes
it's no big surprise
it happens every year
when summer lies down and cries
suffering a heated demise
maybe its just a guise
because after all, they do share the same skies
bake the same pies
walk with the same bulging, thunder thighs
sharing the same sunrise

maybe they're allies
hoisting the same golden prize
always willing to baptize
it's not just what a season implies
'tis what it doth comprise and advise
there's nothing to despise
they're just different stores,
likewise,
part of the same franchise
painting the same winking eye that never dries
neither of them ever lies
and that's no surprise
