Buyer Beware (No Exchanges, No Returns)

Buyer Beware (No Exchanges, No Returns)

The mass of men lead lives of quiet desperation. What is called resignation is confirmed desperation. - Thoreau

Depression Acrylic Painting By Aurora ...
Acrylic Painting by Aurora Mazzoldi

you've stopped combing your hair
stopped pulling down the shade when you're in your underwear
you go 'round in circles so they don't think you're a square
you've been searching for a prayer
for the almighty to help you pick out what to wear
you can't stand the sun's annoying glare
a simple smile you no longer forbear

you stopped answering the door, because there's never anyone there
you curse because you can't muster a swear
you're living in nowhere
you'd like to fly off to somewhere
but you don't have the airfare
this ain't no time for a game of truth or dare
you look at your life's label,
it simply reads, "buyer beware"
