A Poem by Pete
"

The morning wind forever blows, the poem of creation is uninterrupted; but few are the ears that hear it. - Thoreau

"

if the wind raised a woman's skirt, would you look?
if it pulled it back down, would you deem it a crook?
would you bother licking your fingers if it had already turned the page of your book?
would you give up your coat for someone who shivered and shook?
what if your true desires were hidden in an inglenook or a babbling brook?

if the wind blew again and raised that same skirt, would you give it a second look?
or would you deem that woman a flirt?
if she walked on water, would you convert?
based on what you saw under that skirt, would you thank heaven she eats yogurt?
would that make you a pervert?
or better yet, maybe you'd just wait 'til that same wind spun you the perfect woman out of rubble and dirt

Pete,
Well good question. It all depends right. How do we view what we see? Is it with compassion or selfishness.
Good questions raised by your above poem. Interesting how 'Thoreau' considered, to retain heat and now to cover nakedness. Both are true. Also for the protection of other souls and the vulnerabilities unique to people.
Blessings,
Kathy

Hello Pete, well nature gives and nature takes and we also learn so much about human nature from it. I guess with the wind blown skirt, the male of the species would probably be delighted whereas if it happened to me I would be embarrassed lol. Am I being unfair to the male of our species? You can tell me off, I don’t mind. Played your music while I read and pondered.

You ask the questions that make the skin crawl and the mind ache—truths most men dodge in polite light.
Your wind isn’t just air; it’s a mirror, and what it lifts shows us ourselves, ragged and unashamed.

hard not to notice such good .... or bad, fortune for the timing and place. would i look again if another wind gave breath ... mmmmmmmmm maybe; but I would think she would be too far down the road to have the same effect. i appreciate the magic quality you give the wind ... to whistle up perfection in a woman ... "out of rubble and dirt". as Eve and Adam ... i like the Thoreau quote .. covering our nakedness was of course one of the many consequences of being aware of that nakedness eh!? according the Bible that is. which I believe in. ;)
