If You Please

If You Please

A Poem by Pete

Music is perpetual, and only the hearing is intermittent. - Thoreau

The Sound of Music in the Air | ELGi

there's music in the breeze
music in the trees
music that liberates and frees
music to thaw a deep freeze
music to tease and seize
music to hug and squeeze
music to relieve and retrieve
music for whatever you believe or can possibly conceive

there's music to satisfy, stir and appease
music to both weaken and strengthen your knees
music that knows because it sees
music that soars, swooshes and skis
music that buzzes like bees
no matter the weather or degrees
music written on a heart's marquise
it holds all the keys
if you please
