Rapture CaptureA Poem by PeteAs if you could kill time without injuring eternity. - Thoreaui burn through them with each spent breath, trying to keep my spirit warm clutching straw, time washes like the tide crashing, then caressing the shore whilst hugging a bottomless, sandy floor whitewashed, black rocks lined up in eternity faith grows weary, prayers jiggling the handle of a seemingly, always locked door my life is but a gust of wind once exhaled, forever searching for more flesh nothing but a dandelion spore love keeps trying to roller skate, with broken wheels i dine on an ephemeral harvest of fruit and toss the peels gnawing the last of eden's tempting apples down to the core © 2026 PeteAuthor's Note
