Thunderstruck

Thunderstruck

A Poem by Pete
"

Words should pass between friends as the lightning passes from cloud to cloud. - Thoreau

"
Severe thunderstorms: How they form ...

"don't be afraid", mother said,
"It's just the angels bowling"

now i'm grown and mother's gone
i can't help but wonder if it's really god rock 'n rolling

Author's Note

Pete
"... we listened to some of the grandest thunder which I ever heard, -- rapid peals, round and plump, bang, bang, bang in succession, like artillery from some fortress in the sky; and the lightning was proportionally brilliant." - Thoreau
