'In Continents'

'In Continents'

A Poem by Pete
"

Measure your health by your sympathy with morning and spring. - Thoreau

"
Hormuz crisis: Dozens of tankers ...

like some sort of cruel ruse
careful which path you choose
he was the proud owner of an enlarged prostate
his urine would often pass very slowly, leaving him in a pickle
sometimes with sudden, unstoppable urges, speeding like racing legend dick trickle
other times not at all

putting the screws, lighting the fuse, and singing the blues
like oil tankers, near iran, in the strait of hormuz
we all have to pay our dues
there's a time to make amends
peace be to he who apprehends
but then again,
maybe it all 'depends'

An interesting write here Pete...
Topical and humorous....we all have to pay our dues indeed....

These were my favourite lines:

his urine would often pass very slowly, leaving him in a pickle
sometimes with sudden, unstoppable urges, speeding like racing legend dick trickle

Cheers
