I Digress:

I Digress:

A Poem by Pule Leeuw
"

Tribute to the writers who got me to write again

"

Even with the godly power of forward and rewind buttons that I possess I remain a humbled human,

In  a trance cause and effect of an equal dosage of Hip hop and Jazz;

This unequalled fusion delivered on a sombre heartbeat rendering me immediately paralyzed,

I digress, I digress, I digress in search of the alma Mater that tilled these translucent minds.

These word stalwarts allow my mind to rest easy with the familiarity that I am not alone and unquestionably not crazy,

Words designed by minds that were breast-fed by the ingenuity of Freud and Plato;

As “Our lost passions are the only empty buckets for these red eyes to piss in” hitchhikes and derails the train of thought that I freely and knowingly boarded with a clear understanding that there might not be any coming back from the bondage of the heart by these sacrosanct words;

It’s soothing to feed on somebody else’s potent potion poured gently into my mind I stray…

I daydream I’m in the audience, as i later will attest to every gesture from them provoked by the passion in their borrowed spoken words;

As their  sound and voice dies the next poor grammar is mine “S*%t these boys are great”,

I’m in the company of the gifted " I press rewind
