A joke from my childhood, written in honor of our friend, Woody
From a far off galaxy, the flying saucer burned through earth's
atmosphere and spiraled down through clouds and blue sky until it glanced off
Oakville's water tower. Careening wildly, it skidded across highway forty-five and rolled into the ditch like a thrown hubcap, eventually coming to rest against an empty KFC bucket. Moments later, a small
door opened and two little green men staggered out.As soon as they got their footing and
straightened their tiny helmets, they began scurrying about, looking inside
Coke bottles, oil cans, and beneath gum wrappers.
Of course they were Samuel. There's no way they are here to be taken to our leader. A five minute meeting with him (you know the one, looks like an angry oompa loompa) and they'll decide to blow the planet up to make room for a galactic highway! 😃

Thanks, I agree. Humans (Americans, at least) are shown to be too dumb to exist.

Our lot are no better. Life in 2024 reminds me more and more of the movie idiocracy! 😃

Sam,
Were these little green guys looking for Louisa May Alcott's book, "Little Women?" How'd they even know she wrote it?!! Why would they think they would find it in a roadside ditch?! Didn't they know about public libraries?!! Maybe they didn't have a library card?!! Sam . . . I don't get it!!!!!, Sam, Explain it to me , Pleeeeeeeeesssse!!!!!

Only you could come up with something so imaginative, so brief, & so entertaining! I sure do miss Woody . . . have you seen him at the Café in the past year or so? I like the way you create this alien language in a way that's still understandable! (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie

He taught me to write a fun story with a wild twist at the end!

Take Care

Thanks, Will. He pops in every now and then. Maybe he's pinned down by honey-do's?
This is funny. I hope Woody appreciates it. Very sweet, cute, to the point.++++++++++++++++++++++
