Clean, clean Kitty

Clean, clean Kitty

A Poem by Samuel Dickens

They say you shouldn't bathe your cat

but mine sure didn't care

Though afterwards, I coughed and spat

Two slimy balls of hair!

Samuel Dickens
Written for a promt--hair. The idea for this isn't original, and came from a joke Steve Martin told years ago.

It's been a while since I've bathed a cat, but I remember the hassle and the need for a first aid kit afterwards.

What a hassle it is to bath a cat. I get scratches, torn to bits. Part of the reason I just own a dog now. lol!

Thank you. We have dogs, too, but cats are also good to have as pets.
It is said that they clean themselves. I suppose that explains the rage they inflict upon the one attempting to bathe them!

Thank you.
Methinks you mistookified the washing instructions Samuel! 😃
And do go blaming Steve Martin either... he was in planes, trades and automobiles, with John CANDY ya know! 😃
