       They'll betray you

        but can't stand to be

      away from you

You should read the book called "Must Love Dog."
It's poetry much like this...at least, as far as shaping the words into what you're talking about. I was about your age when I read it; still one of my favorite books.

This is interesting. I love how you used the words to form a tree. I also like your conflicting words at the end "strong,gentle friends'. I can't say I completely understand the tree analogy. I'll have to think about that one a bit. But it grabs attention and makes you think and want to figure it out. That is important in writing.
