A Dog's Purple FeastA Poem by IamDale"I loved that purple slipper"Purple, girly, adorned with butterflies, Hey, that slipper was once mine. I know it's quite funny how I once owned that, But as a 4 year old, jealousy would never stop. Surrounded with girls of all ages, All of them grandma gifted with those beautiful slippers, Where's mine I asked, my grandma stopped and thought, Then pointed, my son that purple one in the corner. Young as I was, I never mind, purple or pink What counts is I had a slipper like theirs. Crazily, they wanted what I wore, To surprise you all, it had heels and Higher than theirs. Funny when I remember these things, But you know what's funnier is that, I liked that slipper, comfortable to wear and soft. I'm now blushing, embarrassed and all. But sorry to inform you all, When I was showered with 2 more years. I realized what boy' wear and do so, The boyish I, made the dog had a purple feast in the afternoon at 2.
