Drown in happiness :)

What if I die now?

Will they shed a tear?

Will they scream in grief?

Will they drown in sadness?

What if I go blind?

Will I be walking alone?

Will they hide and never come back?

Will I be less of a person?

What if I never think of these things?

What if I acquire a positive outlook in life?

What if I just think of today than the past?

What if I leave the bad and keep the good?

Accidents and nightmares will haunt us

If we continue to entertain them and search for them.

If we continue to think in the most negative ways,

Our lives will be colored with endless doubts.

So this coming 2012,

Live your lives with the biggest of smiles,

Live everyday not like it's your last,

Think of each day as a chance to live,

Thinking of yourself the last :)

I like the title, very fitting as well as how you used the year in the poem in the end. I like this poem, it expresses the deep feelings well. What if... what if... what if... I love the many questions in this, very well done. Enjoyed.

Amen to all that. Live dangerously! as the philosopher has it. But it isn't always easy and might lead to trouble! But at least we are alive!
