The darkness in me

This is about the lonely fight against pain.

I have darkness in me
He says he'll set me free
Oh but how can he?
For no light can reach me now
Where were you I ask, when I cried for help
Where were you I ask,when I begged it to stop
Where were you I ask,when it would'nt let me go
Where were you I ask,when I still had hope
I tried and failed,
Yes,I was in pain
I am beyond your cures now
So stop pretending like you care
For the pain and I are now one
The darkness has consumed my soul
There is no saving me
Go on and live your life
Absolution is what you seek I know
But you won't have it from me.

No one want to suffer from pain. Here, you have given up on bargaining with it as it seeks absolution; as though it were a person doing it. I wish you luck in trying to deal with it. Life is not supposed to be that way.

Overall, a good poem although I think it would be better with some revision.
