Words and Emotions

He says he loves you
He doesn't mean it

She says she'll be there for you
She won't be

What is with words,
That makes a man
Fall down on his knees?

Or is it emotions?

I feel like I love you,
Like I want to be with you
Forever and ever
Till death do us part.

I feel like I want to die for you,
If I ever lose you, I'll do.
You're the reason for this man,
The only reason why he still lives.

Yet, I can't tell you
Rather, I won't.
Should I?
I don't have to.

Words are only words.
They are a poet's play things,
Tools of a politician.

Words can not immortalize emotions.

wow!! very insightful and poetic. i do agree with you on how words are only words, but you must keep in mind that though they may be just words, they do have power behind them. you can say that words are emotions worst enemies, they do have the power to shatter the soul. the poem was very well written, i enjoyed reading. :)
