The Inner Sanctum Measures Value of Fable Manuscriptions of Vast Cannadrie EST. '34 Valkyrie Way #ceA Poem by Brandon QuinnT,
Though feelings unrequited
Are never very nice, I still think that lessons learned Are very worth the price. For hearts broken always heal And memories turn to shadows, Why let yourself drown in deep waters When you can wade the shallows. That is what this is A simple bait and switch, Replace my heart with iron Because metal needs no stitch. As much as I can feel This was just a fluke, So why waste time and energy When we can just use nukes. Yes, I really mean it And no you shouldn't care, For you and I both know now That life is never fair. I don't think this is punishment I don't want to trade blows, For flowers blossom in the spring And wither in the snow. As far as I'm aware The world will not be ending, And spring will surely come again So let's not start pretending. Truly I have won at life To have met someone like you, To teach me a valuable lesson Which I have yet to construe. I know I will gain strength And time will surely tell, That when I am much better I'll surely forget this hell. Honesty is important To keep myself so sane, And healing is a guaranteed fact So why should I feel pain? Even if I do cry Which surely I will not, I will have plenty tissues To rid me of my snot. I will have many moments In which I will be loved, And those who choose to love me Will be hoisted up above. For I have one thing lasting Before we do part ways, I want to say you touched my soul For that you do get praise. I wish you love and happiness For all your future years, For I will also find it To that we can all cheers! © 2025 Brandon QuinnAuthor's Note
