Demon in the NightA Poem by Sequoia
The moon shines upon my slumbering face
And leaves with it a pale and gloomy trace. For in my mind a stealthy demon creeps And into my dreams a dreariness seeps. I toss and turn, I sigh and moan and shout/ The demon laughs, and keeps on his evil bout. Though I awake the dreariness remains The absent devil has his nightly gains. © 2014 SequoiaReviews
