A Drink or Two

 

Just a drink or two,

Nothing more, just few,

Few became a bit more,

His feet were tumbling,

But I am in control, he said.

 

He bids goodbye to everyone,

Night has ended,

It was the time to leave,

I tied the seat belt and Ria took the back seat,

Don’t worry you are safe, he said.

 

Before he could say further,

Our eyes were closed,

We were still safe in his eyes,

Ria was gone,

And I was all alone.

 

Everything was there,

Yet all gone,

Nothing looked disturbing,

But it was more than I could afford,

It was just a drink or two, nothing more.

I like the way you set up this story, but I don't understand what is happening. I am guessing that drinking & driving is a bad thing, so maybe the passengers ended up suffering some bad fate becuz of the guy's drinking. Well this could be about just the way a little bit of drinking can lead to too much & then people are blanked out of your life thru accident or just leaving your drunk a*s.
