Circumvent the silhouette

Cast upon the precipice
The foreshadowing disaster

That demon marked with envy
And that haunting ever-after

Somewhere on the graying table
Lying stilted by the steed
The yellow cracked paper
And a list of words to heed

Here within a mindset
A simple lonely guess
Here within my mind
A tragedy of words

Watch the falling heartache
And half the party of two
There upon forbearance
And the table always turns

That fire that you came through
The portal lit from despair

Brings me bitter vengeance
And a solitude I share.
