Perfect little friend

Perfect little friend

A Poem by Kammy Myles

I laugh along with you,

I smile all the time,

I pretend I am so happy,

Just so I can fit in,

As long as I am nice and sweet,

And don't do anything wrong,

I am eaisly accepted,

Into the world of friends,

There is just one catch,

I must not frown,

Or have problems of my own,

I must listen and help you,

And when i am uneeded,

I'm forced to be at the back,

Silent and uneeded,

Until i am called foreward,

Into the group again,

With my fake laugh and smile,

To help you,

And protect you from what you fear,

To be the perfect little friend,

So you can be happy and without fear.
