And it continues...

Have you ever gazed into the night,

And noticed one bright star?

That one you seem to always see,

No matter where you are;

Don't you just feel safer-

Because that one bright star, you see?

Knowing you'll never be alone,

For, stars shine "eternally"?

 

Well, I have never had that chance-

No comfort in the night;

I have never had that peace-

From that starry sight;

I have never felt that safety,

Because, that star I saw;

So, until I do, darkness-

I cherish most of all.
