Being Played

Being Played

A Poem by Beaner166

You told me, "I love you".

But I have to wait.

Your with him.

But you want me.

Your still with him?

If I'm what you desire.

Why make me wait?

I didn't understand at the time.

I was young, naive, I loved you.

Now to present day.

Years of waiting.

For what?

Your still with him.

You played me.

Just holding me on the side.

Why?

You'll never know to what extent you hurt me.

I'll never know the gift of your embrace.

I've lost your game.

You win.

Why is my love never enough?

One way or another, I end up here.

Being Played.

That's the way it is in highschool...sad to say. Girls and guys at this age tend to date people as more of an experiment than anything, even if they don't realize it at the time. At least that's what I know from my personal experience. Highschool is full of players, you just have to be careful. Even after school, players are everywhere.
On to your writing. In my opinion, this is a very well written poem, though a little rough in some spots. You have a few mistakes...look at the first word in line 16. also in line three...it should be "you're", not "your". You also might want to check "nieve" I'm not sure if it's spelled correctly. Overall though, great write.
