Pesticide/Suicide

Pesticide/Suicide

A Poem by Azalea Rose

Heel by heel,
Toe by toe.

Black leather shoes
Squeaking against a hardwood floor.
Shoes scraping trees.
Causing wood chips to scatter like tears.

This room is but a table,
So empty,
Yet full of imperious cheers.

Taking comfort in gathering
Around tables.

Roaches.

All over the floor.
Looking up at each man,
Saying,
"Oh, you desire more?"
