Reminded

I guess for a split second I forgot:

-You're not mine.

-You don't care.

-You're cruel and heartless.

-You play with souls and lie.

-Your intentions are sick.

-You're only 'in it' for the physicality.

-You're torturous.

-You won't protect me.

-You've betrayed me.

-You broke my heart.

So why'd I remember that:

-We had some great laughs.

-We clicked.

-You were tender.

-You made me smile.

-We had the best hugs.

-I wanted to protect you.

-I wanted to watch you grow.

-I loved you.

Thank goodness I reminded myself:

-I have HIM.

-HE loves me and cares for me.

-HE's there.

-HE protects me.

-HE makes me smile endlessly.

-HE's better.

-HE's all I'll ever need and..

-HE's all I want.
