Dancing With Silence

“Dance with me”, she said,

grabbing my hand,

pulling me out onto the floor.

Twirling around

to the night’s rhythm,

she stood before me,

her eyes, 

speak daring

and laughing glimmers,

look into mine;

“Well, you do know how to dance

don’t you?

Come Red, move with me,

hold me slowly

I need to feel your warmth

surround me;

your breath on my neck;

your hands pressing my lower back.

Come dance with me Red.

Make love to me with music,

with the silence of stars pulsing

and the whispers of your heart.”

slowly,

her wild poppy,

and buttercup

feminine scent

weaves the music

til everything else is silence.
