Dark SpaceA Poem by redzone....no flashlights or candles were harmed in writing this poem...![]() image courtesy of "alexiuss at Deviant Art" Dark Place As snow falls on cedars, wrapping everything in its cold, blinding white, this heart shatters a million shards scatter into emptiness and a chasm, too wide to cross opens drawing me into its embrace. Funny, how cold and white can be such a tempting lover, her long finger nails ripping at my back as my blood drips, drips, drips on the bed leaving red stains of you. *** A candle flickers, barely visible in this void, and I reach out to touch its hope. I hear its gentle call, then realize its only mirage, as snow continues to fall, wrapping me tighter in its cold, blinding white. ....And I’m gone. ~~redzone 1.27.15 © 2015 redzoneAuthor's Note
