Love Sonnet LIII

 

 

Yaara, sweet love, what has

come of my heart? Why is

it only your face I see when

I open my eyes? Where are

 

you? Has this yellow moon

stolen you away, closed your

eyes to daylight? Perhaps a time

will come, a time then leaves

 

fall, when the ground goes cold,

and the moon will once again

reflect my love and intentions,

 

for us to smile at wayward stars,

dancing like hummingbirds, as they

shine, enticing our lover’s embrace.
