Love Sonnet LVIII

Love Sonnet LVIII

"

....I am the highway

"

Love Sonnet LVIII

There is no magic carpet to

take you to paradise, there is

only the highway, long, dusty,

with detours, and road signs of regret.

But those lonely nights, filled with

passionate star, burning with a

sky of hope, say we can have a

harvest moon. As the wheel turns,

and time comes to an end, what

will you decide? Yaara, from the

beginning, there has always been

one choice. To live and die, to

water the roses growing from societies cracks;

to seek the sky, not for yourself alone.

This poem perfectly captures the tension between wishing for an easy "magic carpet" ride and accepting the "long, dusty" road of reality. It's a great reminder that even though we all wish for a simpler path, true purpose is found in facing the journey head-on. Nice write.

But I have been on that Magic Carpet.
I got swept off by unforeseeable circumstances
Yet he will not forgive
So do I continue to suffer?
NO.
I pick myself up and finish the journey.
(I adore your writings!
They always make me think and often give me hope!)
