Love Sonnet LXXXIX

Love Sonnet LXXXIX

....no regrets, but why can't I forget

"

Love Sonnet LXXXIX

I know it’s strange, perhaps

even a bit psychotic, but,

I’m still in love with you.

I know, it’s been a while,

over 50 years, since you said

goodbye. All I do know is

that you haunt my dreams

with the taste of your lips

and the sass of your hips as

you walked into my life. One

of my flannel shirts you wore

over naked skin, still holds your

Shalimar scent. Yaraa, I wish I

knew how to forget your smile.

Wow! 50 years is is almost a lifetime of missing someone you love dearly… but if it’s a joy for you, then it’s perfectly fine
Lovely emotional writing, the feeling prevails…
