Brave Is The Person Who Cries

Brave Is The Person Who Cries

A Poem by Richard Lane
"

:-)

"

I broke with the old taboo about

telling a person you love

for one time only i 2010

because the Lady I had been wrting back'

a forth wtih the near 10 feet of

snow but when she said I love you back

after six hours

where we first talked as a friend.

and the stream of energies

that flowed both in and out of the

pausing to hang up

the phone i nearly died on the phone that

night as I realized

the woman I was about to start dating a month

who

actually likes

the same kind of music I listen to which is everything

including country music, rap and disco

which is as rare an event as seeing a solar eclipse

less than days later

and the two bands we both liked and listened to

bands were and still are

Joy Divsion and Clan Of Xymox

but then again I knew some

day last night I would be ready

to act with with some small level of

positive flow instead of

the negative as I  wander

through your downtowns

whilst I still daydream until the second moves along

to show me it's 7:30 pm

and I haven't eaten dinner yet.

But  I am not tired of living,  and I am not

tired of dancing and I am not tired

of day dreaming

and breathing my way to the

train station platform

stand ready to

open my heart

soul and mind and

then stand back and work whatever little bit of magic

i have inside my 43 year old body

Dear Richard,

I think this is a nice canvas of words you painted here,
I really enjoyed the simplicity of just telling in a poetic journal
kind of way how beautiful this moment was... the details are
Mesmerizing, and I felt with you while reading. Isn't that beautiful
How two can be connected. Awesome job!
