Bond

Bond

A Poem by Christopher Ross Livingstone

Bond
From the very moment of birth
It's a gift of life
The seeds of new life are sown
It's more than set in stone
Materal insticts raisees an infant from craddle to blossom
The maternal helped me define my masculine
For too long I was seraching and seeking
Until a motherly bond connected me to something deeper
As I raise my eye befond the reflection in the morror
Something eternal stares me in the naked eye
Something seething stikes a beat back at me
Although physical bond may be broken
The eternal and the maternal is unconsditional
