Hope

A Story by Dorita

 Hope
It was winter in the town that Charlene grew up in named Peggylane. Charlene was walking through trails and she came upon an open field. She looked across this field where her parents house was across the way. She went to their house but they weren't home. She called her friends and they were gone. So she went by a large white church and went inside. She loved this church and she grew up going here. She went to the front and took a seat as a choir were singing. She saw along and then the choir director came up to her and asked her if she would like to sing too. At first she didn't want to and said no. But then she agreed and went up to the front and began singing. She sang the Christmas carols and she loved singing now. What she had been afraid of, God was turning into boldness and she didn't know why she had been afraid all along. That Sunday her parents, and friends came to the church and she sang out. Charlene walked home after church and stopped at that field. How God had turned things around and she was glad she was learning more and she knew she was glad about knowing God and doing what He wanted.
