Winter Blues

Winter Blues

A Poem by Suzanne
"

A poem about dealing with Seasonal Affective Disorder in the winter time.

"

Winter blues, winter blues

Oh, how I don’t adore you

I can’t stand the short days,

and long dark nights.

some days it’s so hard to move

no life in me to get going

I feel worse than ever

due to the winter blues

I know I should keep busy

even with the smallest things

but the winter blues has be down

oh what can I do

with this winter blues

that seems like it just won’t go away!

Try a "lightbox"? I am making light of this well-defined problem - winter (seasonal) depression. It is very real. Many suffer. You describe the effects well.

I can most definitely relate, and ad to that I've moved 20 miles from town and the isolation can be good and bad

I recently had a allergic reaction to nuts and am still suffering from hives. I have a feeling if this were spring or summer, I could at least walk around maybe. The itching is like agony.

I realize your affliction is worse and will last longer. But in some small way I can relate to this poem.
