I envisioned this to be an inclusive poem, so I tried to make it as genderless as possible to be as LGBT+ friendly as possible.

babe, your hair tucked behind you ear

is so precious, I’m sincere

holding you tight listening to your heartbeat

your warmth and love are such a treat

these are the things that I like about you

I care about you so much 

your fingers gliding against my skin with a soft touch

we have our occasional space

but we are better together in each other's embrace

my love for you is endless

I hope you can see that I pay attention

to every detail, beyond comprehension

your eyes convey the emotions you feel

from sadness to excitement, that’s one of your appeals
