THE HARD OR TENDER COVER

THE HARD OR TENDER COVER

A Poem by Robert Robbie Lord Dudley

I have look'd throught secret clouds and mist

from times long gone but still exist

and there are seeds in my mind dumping on air

they are paper packets torn I planted in poems

that I hope will grow another step forward i go

so beautiful and strong holding onto my cushion reposing me

my seat is worn i then sat down gazing between

torn pages, edges sew'd, so to seek softly by the fireside chat

through those clouds and mist from times by & by

long gone but still exist in sunshine

gone but still exist in the past, presently for

are here now and digging in the dark for more

and one more last look out the door
