HINTS OF SPRINGA Poem by Marie50 year old poem about spring...
Winter grass is white along the path. Earth is frozen. In the still, cold air I catch a scent, elusive, yet familiar, Fragile sweetness, scarcely even there.
Spring is sending messengers aloft, Heralding the coming of new weather, Honeysuckle fingers feeling gently, South breeze blowing lightly as a feather,
Whispering “Be patient…she comes soon…” The gloomy day takes on a glow of cheer, The winter grass seems greener where I walk, All for knowing spring will soon be here. © 2015 MarieAuthor's Note
