the wonders of our eyes

when i talk of the wonders that come to mind
and the intensity of our world
when i am amazed at the clouds and planets
and how the universe unfurled
when i tell these things to the people i see
they shrink up in their chairs
its not because they dont understand me
its that nobody really cares
noone sees the world
quite the same as i think i do
when i see a beautiful day
i stop for a second or two
when a see the black nights covered in stars
i wonder at the size
billions on billions on billions of miles
all seen in our own little eyes
