How do I show how much I love you?

 

Do I have to kiss you to make you believe?

Hold you tight, and look in your eyes, and tell you that I love you?

 

Make love to you with a hunger that will never be fed?

Leave flowers just because?

 

Write you poems professing my undying love for you?

Leave rose petals on my side of the bed for you to wake up to?

 

All of these things I would do; they are a part of who I am.

I do them because I love you,

like…

The ocean waves love the sandy shore,

like…

The wind loves the clouds,

like…

The birds love the air.

 

Know that in my heart you are the most precious gift in my life.

I have done them before. Until I discovered she wanted to change me and I was not the person she said she wanted. I did all these things and found her words were not as true as she belived them to be.
