Finding Love or Validation

 

Am I looking for Love or Validation?

I do not know, maybe a little of both.

 

Do I fall in Love to Validate who I am?

Has my life been so empty that I seek something…anything?

 

I fear the answer is hidden.

It’s the pain that hides deep inside of me.

 

Could someone love me so completely?

Could they gently pull the walls down and show me what love is?

 

Would they let me see the true face of who they are?

To let me love them in the same way.

i think that we only seek for validation for the things we are not sure of. Do we seek love because we doubt that we are capable of loving? or Do we seek love because at the back of our mind we feel we are not worthy of love, hence, the need to validate. Quite stimulating question you raise in here. I enjoyed reading it.
