Love has done its worstA Poem by ronLove has done its
worst
Love has done its
worst to me. It has drawn me in
with… Desire… Need… and lust.
Love has bound my
imagination with velvet ropes, And silk blindfolds.
Love gagged my
thoughts, Quieting them in a mist
of promises.
I am forced to do
its bidding, Beyond rational
thoughts or feelings.
I kneel before love with a broken heart, and spent body. I stare into its hazy mist, pale and sweating. Words pass my
parched lips quietly… “You have taken all
that you could, But you will never
own my Passion.” © 2013 ronReviews
