My dreams hold such pain,

a pain that seeps into me through dreams shattered and wrought in ruin.

 

Could a simple kiss or an embrace be enough to make this pain more bearable?

Could a simple word quiet my beating heart?

 

Would your lips kiss my tears and make me whole somehow?

Would you hold my shaking hands to your heart, so I can feel once again?

 

My lips quiver at the thought of you watching me as I hide in my dreams.

I curl into myself and wait for you to accept my submission.
